Materials & Conscious Choices

Shipping & Returns
We believe that every product should carry a story of care, of craftsmanship, and of considered choices. Our approach is rooted in a slower, more thoughtful way of creating, where style and responsibility exist side by side.
Consciously Sourced Materials
We work primarily with deadstock, vintage, and recycled fabrics - materials that already exist, reimagined into something new.
By choosing these textiles, we reduce waste and give forgotten fabrics a second life. When sourcing new materials, we prioritise organic cotton and consciously selected fibres, always balancing feel, function, and impact.
Our fabrics are sourced locally or lovingly donated, keeping our process close to home and connected to community.
Made Slowly, By Hand
Every Made by Maman piece is handmade by Jacqueline, Maman herself, in her small seaside studio.
She is the only person who cuts, stitches, and finishes each garment, ensuring a level of attention and intimacy that cannot be replicated in mass production.
We produce in small, limited runs or made-to-order, embracing a slower rhythm that allows us to focus on quality over quantity. We do not mass produce.
Our choices are guided by a few simple principles:
Low waste - working with existing materials wherever possible
Longevity - creating timeless pieces designed to be worn and loved for years
Circularity - encouraging reuse, repair, and a longer life for every garment
Every order is packaged using recyclable cardboard and biodegradable tissue paper.
We keep things simple, and as gentle on the environment as possible.
As a small, family-run brand, we are continuously learning, refining, and making more considered decisions wherever we can. We may not claim perfection, but we are committed to progress, with honesty and transparency at every step.
